Story
Hey there,
I'm doing the Run 4 Refugees this year to support the invaluable work of the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre. The ASRC helps support and empower people seeking asylum through programs like the legal clinic, foodbank and food justice truck, health clinic and counselling services, English lessons, vocational education and training, community engagement and so much more.
I'll be running 10ks (in under 60 minutes, apparently because I accidentally hit the wrong checkbox) to raise money for them and it would be great if you could help by making a donation. :)
I came to Australia as a refugee from the Bosnian War in 1995 with my mother and younger sister and I know from personal experience who vital the work of the ASRC is. Every small donation makes a world of difference.
Thanks so much for your support!
Ana
ASRC Footscray (Asylum Seeker Resource Centre)
The Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) is both a place and a movement.
As an independent not for profit organisation, we are owned and run by our community. Our programs empower people seeking asylum to maximise their own physical, mental and social well-being. As a movement, we mobilise and unite communities to create lasting social and policy change for people seeking asylum in Australia.
We assist over 7,000 people seeking asylum each year from our centres in Footscray and Dandenong, Victoria.
